Angel & Anchor Farm is a cozy farm located in Sterling CT, and is absolutely perfect for your Connecticut barn and farm wedding. The owners Bill and Nichole, are very considerate and caring to their couples and will work with you to make sure all your wedding needs, wants, and décor are fulfilled. Here at Angel & Anchor Farm, they want to make sure that all couples have absolutely zero worries on their wedding day by providing pretty much every single thing you could ever need or want in a wedding venue…and then some!

When it comes to your wedding weekend, you don’t have to worry about another wedding intruding on your wedding plans, as Angel & Anchor Farm only hosts one wedding per weekend for up to 200 of your family and friends with no time limit on your wedding day. That’s right, you have all day access to the venue so you can have your vendors come in early and start setting up.

The wrap-around porch, Victorian home, and She-Shed are open for use for your wedding. The gazebo on the property is an amazing place for some alone time and to take in a breathtaking sunset while having some amazing photos taken as well.

The Victorian home provides a living room & library area for you and your wedding party to relax while you are served some refreshments. You are allowed to also bring in any photos, heirlooms, or décor to decorate these spaces with to make them feel as cozy and loving as you want. Located upstairs after taking an amazing wooden staircase, are both a bride and groom suites.

Bridal Suite

The bridal suite provides adjustable color control lighting, large mirror, couch, and chairs, as well as flower sconces on the walls so you can decorate the room with the same florals you have for your wedding.

The Grooms Suite

The groom’s suite is a very masculine room with leather and wood as far as the eye can see.

Outdoor Gardens

The outdoor gardens that surround the property, always have something that is in bloom.

Parking

Parking is available across the street in a large field with a designated parking attended. VIP & Handicap parking is available right by the home.

Ceremony Sites

There are several ceremony locations around the farm for use. One being the fruit orchard right behind the home. The orchard contains apples, pears, & peach trees that are also wrapped in ferry lighting. A large Linden tree when it is in full bloom, also provides extra seclusion in this ceremony area making it even more of an intimate location. Seating for your ceremony is included in your rental and you can rent arch’s as well.

The second ceremony area is located adjacent to the large reception area and is nestled under a Honey Locust Grove, provides some great shade on those hot sunny days. When this grove is populated with the local bees, it provides an amazing humming ambient sound. Have no fear, these bees do not come down to bother anyone. A magnolia is also located at the rear of this location, which, when paired with the hand maid “Bridal Gate” makes for a spectacular entrance.

For your ceremony, Angel & Anchor Farm provide several types of archways that can be used. Ranging from circle, to triangle, to hexagon and more. Angel and Anchor Farm is a pet friendly Connecticut wedding venue, that said, you can even ride out of your ceremony together on your own horse if you wish!

Reception Area

The reception area is in the middle of the property between the two ceremony areas. The reception is a tented 60×30 area that includes all the sidewalls as well as lighting and dance floor. Seating and handmade farm tables are provided.

Yard Games & Entertainment

Angel and Anchor Farm also provides a slew of yard games and entertainment for you and your guests ranging from Jenga, cornhole, and more. Yard furniture is also placed all around the property to ensure plenty of seating and places to relax.

Fire Pit

Located between these two areas is a stone firepit perfect for lounging next to and having some smores with your guests accompanied by a firepit attendant. Just to the right of this is a nice stone patio area with outdoor lighting which can be used for dancing or lounging.

Bathrooms

Bathrooms are provided by one Pretty Potty and one handicap.

She-Shed

In between the firepit and the stone patio is the She-Shed. This heated little space is perfect for taking a much-needed break from your guests for you and your partner to get away and have some time alone. 

Vendors

Angel & Anchor farm is also open to any vendors you would like to use for your wedding. They do also provide a preferred vendor list if you are still looking for those as well.

Pricing

There are two packages for your wedding day available and require a deposit to hold you wedding day.

Additional Add-Ons

Angel & Anchor Farm does offer several additions as well. There are two additional tent options to choose from perfect for creating some additional areas for your guests to use, that also include the sidewalls and lighting. Additional arch’s, hay sofas, sweetheart chairs, small décor packages, lunge areas, and Cletus the truck are also available to be added on to your venue package.

The décor packages include items from the farm that can really bring out the full rustic vibes you are looking for. You have full access to anything that is in the barn to be used, making your décor truly unique to you, saving you from the time and hassle of searching for it all online or other means.

Accommodations

Angel & Anchor Farm do not provide any overnight accommodations; however, they do provide the option for a rehearsal dinner on Friday’s if are looking to host one.

Noise Ordinance

Angel & Anchor Farm has a 10pm noise ordinance. That said, you can play softer music until midnight.
