LITCHFIELD WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER AS SEEN IN

TJ Ladzinski, Connecticut documentary wedding photographer and owner of Ladman Studios.

Hello there, I’m T.J.

Real is better than perfect. Every single time.

Whether you’re tucked away in the Litchfield Hills or celebrating at a quiet lakeside estate, I want you laughing, crying, and soaking it all in. I’m here to turn those raw, unscripted moments into something that still hits years from now.

Most photographers offer rigid 6, 8, or 10-hour blocks. But a Litchfield County wedding doesn’t happen on a timer, and the best moments definitely don’t wait for a timeline to catch up.

When the sun starts to set over the hills and the timeline slips, you shouldn’t be worrying about the clock. That’s why I provide a True Full-Day Experience, so you can stay present in the moment while I document the story.

HOW I TELL STORIES

Most of the day, I’m in the thick of it. Moving with you, reacting and watching for those weird, honest, blink-and-you-miss-it moments that define a Litchfield County wedding.

But when I see something building—when the light hits the rolling hills just right or the energy shifts during an outdoor ceremony, we may take a few minutes to explore and craft.

These aren’t forced photos. They’re intentional. Creative. Meaningful. It’s a gut feeling that something in the Litchfield landscape is worth taking the time for.

NICOLE + NATHAN

My husband and I cannot be happier with our choice to use TJ for our wedding photography. We were nervous about choosing a photographer because neither of us like to get our photos taken but from the beginning, TJ made us feel comfortable and relaxed. The photos came out amazing and so did our wedding album. Would highly recommend!!!!!

FOR THE COUPLES WHO WANT THEIR PHOTOS TO MEAN SOMETHING

WHY COUPLES WORK WITH ME?

STORYTELLING WITH PURPOSE

I take the time to know you—not just your timeline, but your people, and your energy. So when you look through your album, it feels like you.

NO TRENDS OR GIMMICKS

Your photos should still hit 20 years from now. I keep colors bold, honest, and true-to-life—so your story doesn’t get dated by trends and gimmicks.

FUN & NEVER FORCED

You don’t have to know what to do in front of the camera. That’s my job. I’ll guide you just enough, then step back and let the good stuff unfold.

RELIABILITY

Timeline changes? Weird weather? I roll with it. No panic. No rushing. Just calm, focused energy so you can actually enjoy the day.

LIGHTING

Rain or shine, indoors or out—I find or create the light that makes you look like you belong in a damn movie.

TARA & RICH

Choosing Ladman Studios was one of the best decisions we made. TJ’s vibrant, creative, and candid storytelling gave us photos we can’t stop looking at. The engagement session was a must—it let us get comfortable, include our dog, and gave us gorgeous images for save-the-dates. On the wedding day, TJ’s time management and flexibility were invaluable (rain and all), and Amber was a true MVP, even helping get a stain out of my dress before the ceremony.

Litchfield Wedding Photography F.A.Q.

Common Litchfield Connecticut wedding photographer questions I’m often asked.

Once we’ve met and you’re ready to move forward, I send over the contract and a retainer invoice. Your date is officially locked in the moment both are signed and paid. From there, you get access to my private planning guides, and I check in throughout your engagement so nothing slips through the cracks. No ghosting, no “see you the morning of.”

Most of my couples book 9 to 14 months out. Peak dates (Friday/Saturday September–October) tend to fill 12–18 months in advance. If you’re reading this less than 6 months from your date, reach out anyway — sometimes I have openings, and the worst I can tell you is no.

The best way to find out is to actually talk. After you inquire, we’ll set up a meet & greet (video or in-person) where you can see if my energy clicks with yours. If it doesn’t feel right for either of us, I’ll say so — and I’d rather help you find someone who is the right fit than book a wedding that shouldn’t be mine. PS: Both partners should be on the call.

I do offer a highlight of the day. This is a 2-3-minute video of the day, with photography as the primary focus.

Yes! Designing your wedding album to tell the narrative of your day is one of my favorite parts. Most of my collections come with a wedding album.

Yes, all of my experiences include my 2nd photographer.

Although I am based in CT, I do travel anywhere within the U.S.

Yes — I call them Side Quests. Instead of awkward posing in a field somewhere, we do something that actually reflects you: arcades, axe throwing, cooking together, your favorite pub, hiking somewhere that matters to you. We finish with some intentional portraits at the end. Sessions start at $800 and are included as a bonus in The Anthology experience.
