Litchfield is not one kind of wedding
It is a barn in Morris, a lakeside afternoon near Bantam, an inn in Kent that has been standing since before anyone reading this was born. The light is different up here. The days run longer and looser than they do down by the shoreline, and the venues have enough texture that they become part of the story instead of a backdrop.
I shoot weddings all over these hills. Litchfield, Torrington, New Milford, Washington, Kent, Woodbury, Salisbury, Bantam, Morris, Goshen, Sharon, Norfolk, Roxbury. Barns, farms, private estates, and backyards that meant more to a family than any venue ever could.
Getting up here takes a little longer than most photographers want to drive. That has never been a problem for me. If your day is happening somewhere in these hills, I can get to you, and I will stay until the story is finished.
